Southside Apartments offer self-catering apartments with a choice of 1-, 2- or 3-bedroom apartments, ideal for exploring the Old Town of Edinburgh. They are just 15 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and a further 5 minutes’ walk to Princes Street. The apartments are next to a main bus route stop.

The location is also ideal for Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park and the Royal Commonwealth Swimming Pool. It has many of Edinburgh Fringe venues close by too.

Our apartments have a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, free Wi-Fi and lounges and kitchen/dining areas. Each bathroom has a bath with shower, toilet and sink.

Each fully equipped kitchen within our Apartments has a washing machine, fridge/freezer, cooker and hob and microwave. Towels and linen are included, and travel cots and highchairs can be requested.  A few extras are left to start your stay off, soap, washing up liquid, washing powder, rubbish bags, toilet rolls, tea, coffee and sugar sachets

The vast open space of Holyrood Park is just 10 minutes’ walk from Southside Apartments and Edinburgh Castle can be reached in 15 to 20 minutes’ walk via some of Edinburgh’s most historic areas.

Edinburgh’s Newington is a great choice for travellers interested in museums, food and architecture. It also has superb access to Edinburgh’s Old and New Towns.

Cancellation/prepayment
Cancellation and prepayment policies vary according to apartment type. Please enter the dates of your stay and check the conditions of your required room.
Please note as a small company we strictly enforce these policies.

Children and sofa beds
All children are welcome.
Free! All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing beds or cots/cribs. The maximum number of children’s cots/cribs in a room is 1.
There is a sofa bed available in the lounge for an additional person but this has an additional charge and must be requested in advance.

Please note the property does not have a reception, so please contact the apartments prior to arrival to arrange a check-in time.

Guests have 2 options on arrival:

1. A pre-authorisation of GBP 100 per apartment is taken by card as a damage deposit upon arrival. This pre-authorisation will be released upon check-out and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation.
The release is by your bank and we cannot quicken this process. If you require access to this money option 2 is best for you.

2. Guests can choose to pay a non-refundable GBP 25 cleaning fee. The property will still need a written pre-authorisation but nothing is held against the account.

Kindly note the guest is liable for any damages made to the property by themselves during their stay and will be charged for damages if necessary.

The damage is not just the replacement value of damage but the labour and loss of earnings associated during this process.

There are no lifts at the property.

“Most enjoyable two night stay”

We loved our time at 20 York Place! It was a gorgeous apartment, in a fantastic central location with stunning views and all the amenities we needed. Beds were very comfy, bathrooms modern and most important super clean! The service at time of booking and throughout arrival etc was brilliant, we will be back for sure.  Edinburgh is a fabulous city and definitely worth a visit.
