Our Southside Apartments offer self-catering apartments with a choice of 1-, 2- or 3-bedroom apartments, ideal for exploring the Old Town of Edinburgh. They are just 18 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and a further 5 minutes’ walk to Princes Street. The apartments are next to a main bus route stop.

The location is also ideal for Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park,the Royal Commonwealth Swimming Pool and Edinburgh University. It has many of Edinburgh Fringe venues close by too.

Our apartments have a flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, free Wi-Fi and lounges and kitchen/dining areas. Each bathroom has a bath with shower, toilet and sink. A couple of apartments also have an additional shower room

Each fully equipped kitchen within our Apartments has a washing machine, fridge/freezer, cooker and hob and microwave. Towels and linen are included, and travel cots and highchairs can be requested.  A few extras are left to start your stay off, soap, washing up liquid, washing powder, rubbish bags, toilet rolls, tea, coffee and sugar sachets

The vast open space of Holyrood Park is just 10 minutes’ walk from Southside Apartments and Edinburgh Castle can be reached in 15 to 20 minutes’ walk via some of Edinburgh’s most historic areas.

Edinburgh’s Newington is a great choice for travellers interested in museums, food and architecture. It also has superb access to Edinburgh’s Old and New Towns.

We do have discounted tickets for parking at the Omni centre  on request, £13.20 for 24 hours rather than £22 for 24 hours, this is a 3 min walk away from the apartments

A damage deposit of GBP 100 per apartment is required prior to arrival, the pre authorisation is a temporary hold of funds held against a credit card to guarantee funds are available to cover any damages or anti-social behaviour incurred during your stay from misuse or neglect

The apartments are fitted with noise aware sensors and have 24-hour security. We will enforce all house rules and exercise our rights to ask clients to leave if they do not follow these rules Departure. Please respect fellow guests, our neighbours and the apartments themselves

All our bookings include VAT as we are part of the Travel Operators Margin Scheme and we are unable to provide a VAT breakdown

The closest car park isHermits Croft Car Park,  (justpark.coman off street car park, 6 mins walk from our Southside apartments, 24-hour car park access. The rate for any 24-hour period is approx. £16.00. Spaces can only be pre-booked online for this. 
Alternatively there is the Q Park located in the Quartermile Development beside The Meadows, this covered car park is a 14 min walk from our Southside apartments.  24-hour car park access. The rate for any 24-hour period is £20.00. Spaces can only be pre-booked online for this rate.

“Comfortable work trip”

Stayed 2 nights for work. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Big flat, loads of space. Didn’t use the kitchen for anything other than a coffee but well equipped. Would stay here again. Especially like the high ceilings. Local street has cafe and restaurants etc. Recommended

Amazing apartments and location. Owners are brilliant and very obliging and would highly recommend and will definitely be back with friends.
It’s within walking distance of everything. Lovely restaurant underneath the apartment.

There were 10 of us, a family event of 3 generations , we were all very pleased with the apartments, hassle free check in. Apartments were modern, clean, spacious, warm ( this was important to the oldies lol) great location, lots of shops, food outlets and a choice of buses into town or a beach on your doorstep or a lovely 15minute stroll through the meadows into town centre. Would definitely stop here again.

This is the 3rd year we have stayed at Southside apartments Edingburgh we absolutely love the location apartments are always spotless towels and bedding always fresh always said we wouldn’t go anywhere else but as there is 8 of us goin now in 2 apartments we have book their York place for November next year as we will all be in 1 apartment really couldn’t ask for a better place

Just returned from a short 3-night break in Edinburgh. The Southside Apartments by Destination Edinburgh were excellent. We were kept fully informed with all the information needed about the accommodation and surrounding area. It was clean, spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds. The location was ideal, One straight road to Princes Street or a short bus ride. Would certainly book again.
